General Sessions

Our full-service studio specializes in senior portraits, newborns, family and child portraits, weddings, mini sessions, birthday sessions, events, school dances, publicity headshots, sports pictures and more!

Absolutely! You can schedule a consultation to visit our studio, and we also have a photo gallery showcasing the various scenes and settings available on our property HERE.

We offer various bundles and packages tailored to meet your specific needs. You can find our current pricing guides on up in the menu at the top of this page. If you can’t find the exact package you are looking for, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide you with a custom quote.

To secure your spot, a non-refundable retainer fee is required. The retainer fee will be credited towards the purchase of your chosen bundle.

After your session, we will provide you with an online gallery where you can view and select your images. It’s important to note that the inclusion of digital files in your session fee depends on the type of session you booked. Please refer to the specific details of your chosen bundle or package to determine whether digital files are included. We offer different bundles, some of which include digitals while others do not. 

After your session, there are two stages for receiving your images. The first stage is the proofing process, which typically takes around 3 to 4 weeks. During this time, we carefully curate and lightly edit your photos. Once you’ve made your selections from the proofing gallery, we move on to retouching. 

In the second stage, we fully retouch chosen images. This stage usually takes an additional 3 to 4 weeks. Please note that these timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on the season. During our peak season from fall through December, turnaround times may be slightly longer due to increased demand. 

If you need to reschedule your session, it is required to notify us at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, a reschedule fee will apply. In the case of inclement weather, we will contact you before your session to arrange a new date at no additional cost. 

The duration varies depending on the type of session you choose. A typical full session lasts approximately one hour, while mini sessions are scheduled for 20 minutes. Newborn sessions typically range from 1 to 2.5 hours, allowing for a relaxed and comfortable environment. 

 Your online gallery will be available for two weeks. We highly recommend taking this time to review your images and create a favorites list. During the ordering process, you have the option to pay upfront or discuss a payment plan with one of our staff members. We provide convenient online payment options, and if you prefer in-person assistance, we are happy to accommodate that as well. It’s important to note that your order will be processed only after it has been paid in full. 

We store photos on multiple secure devices, including computers and hard drives until the end of the calendar year. After that timeframe, they will be archived on a single hard drive. We guarantee them up to a year after the session. After that, access to years past is not guaranteed.

Yes! If you’re interested in a custom payment plan, please let us know and we’ll be happy to assist you. Our payment plans can be conveniently managed online, and you’ll receive email reminders for payments.

Yes, we offer photography sessions on select weekends and can accommodate sessions on location. Please note that for sessions scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, there is an additional fee of $50. For locations beyond a 30-mile radius from our studio, there is an additional charge of $2 per mile round trip. There is no additional cost for locations within the 30-mile radius. 

We will use the email address you provided during booking to send you important updates, correspondences, gallery information, and digital downloads. If you’ve not heard back from us, please be sure to check your spam/junk folders! 

When you order copyrights, they will be uploaded to your gallery in  with a 10×14 crop. Typically, these are high quality enough to ensure a good quality enlargement, but if you are ordering outside of our lab, just let us know which ordered image you want and we will send you the the image in it’s original size. 

Senior Sessions

Senior sessions typically have a duration of approximately 1-2 hours. This gives us enough time to capture a variety of poses, expressions, and locations to showcase your unique personality and style. Our aim is to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience while ensuring we capture stunning photographs that reflect your senior year! 

We submit senior headshot portraits to your school before the yearbook deadline. When scheduling your session, please be sure to provide us with any specific submission guidelines from the school prior to your session. 

We offer seniors an extended timeframe to place their print orders until the end of the school year. Please note that full payment is required before we process your order. 

To streamline the ordering process, please submit your headshot selection by clicking the heart icon and choosing “submit to photographer.” Creating a favorites list using the heart icon is also recommended to narrow down your order choices. 

We offer multiple options for placing your order, including online ordering, in-person appointments, email, and phone orders.  

We want you to feel confident and comfortable during your senior session, so we encourage you to wear what makes you feel good and reflects your unique style. The most important thing is to be yourself and choose outfits that make you feel like the best version of you. 

As a general guideline, it’s great to include a mix of outfits, ranging from more subtle and casual choices to ones that truly represent your personality. You’ll have the opportunity to wear three different outfits during your session, allowing you to showcase different sides of yourself. 

We always recommend avoiding busy patterns or clothes with large logos across the chest as they can be distracting in the photographs. Bright white and neon colors can sometimes be challenging to photograph, but sometimes breaking the rules and wearing something bold or unique can add an extra touch of personality and make the session even more fun and memorable! 

When it comes to makeup, the current trend leans towards a more natural look. However, we understand that you may want to add some extra glamor and polish for your senior portraits. Ultimately, choose what makes you feel your best and most comfortable in your own skin. This session is all about capturing the essence of YOU! 

Our goal is to create beautiful and authentic portraits that reflect your genuine personality and celebrate this special milestone in your life! We’re here to support you every step of the way and ensure you have a positive and enjoyable senior session experience! 

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring props that are meaningful to you and showcase your interests and passions. Whether it’s your sports uniform, musical instrument, sports equipment, dance shoes, or any other props that hold significance to you, feel free to bring them along! These props can be included as one of your outfits in your session or you can add-on a 20-minute senior mini dedicated to capturing those special activities. 

You are absolutely welcomed to bring along a friend or sibling to your session! Having someone by your side can add a fun and relaxed atmosphere, making you feel more comfortable and bringing out genuine smiles and laughter! It’s always nice to have someone who can make you laugh and help carry any additional items you may have. 

We don’t have a strict minimum order requirement. We believe in providing bundled packages that offer a hassle-free experience, taking the guesswork out of selecting the right options for you. If you’re not sure, we’ll guide you through the process and help you decide what best suits your preferences and needs! 

In the initial proof gallery, we provide light blemish correction to address any minor imperfections. Once you place your order, our retouching process includes a thorough review to remove any acne/blemishes. Please note there may be an additional fee for extensive retouching. 

If you have any specific concerns or requests regarding retouching, we encourage you to inform us ahead of time. We are here to listen to your preferences and provide you with beautiful photographs that make you look and feel your best! 

To secure your spot, a non-refundable retainer fee of $200 is required within 24 hours of booking. This fee serves as a deposit to hold your spot in our schedule and will be credited towards the purchase of your chosen bundle. The remaining balance of your session fee is due one week before your scheduled session date. 

If you have any questions or need assistance with the payment process, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help and make sure that the financial aspect of the experience is as convenient and stress-free as possible! 

We offer two types of digital files to meet your specific needs. 

Digital Files: These are fully retouched images at high resolution, accompanied by a print release. You have the freedom to print these images at any lab of your choice. The availability of digital files depends on the bundle you choose. In our minimum senior package, The Essentials, you’ll receive a studio credit that can be applied towards digitals or a print bundle, as described in the bundle details. You can find more information about digital files and bundle options in our pricing guide. 

Social Media Files: These files are specially resized and watermarked images intended for social media use, not printing. They are available at a cost of $10 each. They provide an easy way to share your favorite pictures on social media! 

With the purchase of an all-inclusive package, you’ll receive a discount of 60% off an All Copyrights order from your session as well as 50% off social media files! 

The ideal time for your session depends on the specific look and lighting you’re going for. Here’s what we recommend! 

For locations with gardens or greenery, as well as our pebble beach setting, we suggest scheduling your session in the morning for the best lighting. 

If you prefer a golden hour feel with a sandy beach backdrop or in an open field, we recommend scheduling your session in the afternoon or evening. During this time, the warm, soft sunlight adds a dreamy feel for a unique look! 

It’s important to remember that as the year progresses, the daylight hours become shorter. Please keep this in mind when selecting your preferred session time! 

Ultimately, the choice of time depends on your personal preferences and the aesthetic you have in mind. Please feel free to ask us any questions! 

Of course! To ensure that we can submit your images on time, we ask for at least one week’s notice prior to the deadline. This allows us enough time to process your order and coordinate any customizations or special requests.

Our packages include the coverage of one photographer. If you desire additional coverage, you have the option to add an extra shooter for packages that are 6 hours or longer. 

Yes, engagement sessions are a wonderful way for us to get to know each other better and for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera! We offer engagement sessions as a separate service or as an add-on to your package. 

All packages include your chosen photography coverage duration with one photographer, professionally curated and hand-edited images, full copyrights and ownership of all images, an online gallery and a stylish keepsake box with coordinating USB drive. 

In addition, we provide various add-on options such as save the dates, thank you cards, engagement sessions, wedding albums, extra photographers, and extended hours. For detailed information, please refer to our pricing guide. 

It’s best to book your wedding photography services as soon as you have a confirmed date. As a full-service studio, our availability for weekends can fill up quickly. To secure your preferred date, it’s best to reach out and book as early as possible. 

Of course! We are experienced in creating efficient and realistic timelines for wedding photography. We will work closely with you or your wedding planner to ensure that all the important moments are captured and that we have enough time for various photo sessions throughout the day.

Yes, we encourage you to share any specific shots or moments that are important to you. We will make every effort to accommodate your requests and capture the moments that matter most to you!

We understand that you’re so excited to see your images, and we’re just as excited to share them! Within a week from your wedding date, we’ll post sneak peeks of our favorite highlights to our Facebook page. As for the complete gallery, our standard turnaround time is 3 months. While we always aim to deliver sooner, please note that weddings held later in the year typically require the full 3 months, while weddings earlier in the year often have an earlier delivery.

We offer a variety of high-quality print options, including albums, canvases, and photographic prints. We can assist you in selecting the best printing options to showcase your favorite images.

There is an online store available via your online gallery for prints, where you can conveniently order a wide range of print options. For albums, we provide a more personalized ordering experience through an in-person appointment. During this appointment, we can guide you in selecting the perfect album design and materials to showcase your favorite images beautifully!

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you need to reschedule your wedding, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can work with you to find an alternate date. Regarding cancellations, our retainer fee is non-refundable. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to accommodate your situation. Remaining payment remains as a credit per our contract.

Yes! With every wedding package, you will receive a private online viewing gallery that you can easily share with friends and family. Within the gallery, you’ll find a 4-digit PIN that grants you access to download the digital images. We also provide a print release, allowing you to make prints or use the images as you wish. We recommend backing up your photos in multiple locations to ensure their safety.

The Melody

The Melody is an intimate wedding venue located on 10 beautiful acres. We offer a variety of romantic ceremony sites, including sandy beaches, rocky shorelines, open meadows, lush gardens, and rustic elegant barns. What sets us apart is our hybrid concept, combining a wedding venue with our photography studio to provide you with a seamless experience and timeless photography.

By choosing The Melody, you can have an affordable and intimate wedding without compromising on elegance. Our turnkey wedding packages include event planning, essential décor, flowers, photography coverage, and ownership of all edited images. We take care of every detail, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy your special day.

Yes, we have packages to accommodate both elopements and larger ceremonies. Our “You and I” package is perfect for elopements with up to two witnesses, while our “Two Become One” package can accommodate up to 50 guests for a ceremony and reception.

Our photography coverage is included in all packages and provides full coverage of your wedding day. You will receive ownership of all edited images, an online gallery, and a stylish keepsake box with a coordinating USB drive.

We take care of the essential décor and provide a complete wedding experience. However, we understand that you may have specific preferences. Please discuss any additional decorations or vendor arrangements with our team, and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
